This article aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the coexistence of the psychological and the supernatural in Ivan Turgenev’s novella ’’The Song of Triumphant Love’’. The research employs descriptive, cultural-historical, and psychological methods. The study examines how mystical and paranormal elements are interwoven into the narrative and become not only part of its artistic metaphorical fabric but also an important tool for revealing the characters’ inner world. Special attention is given to the symbolism of the supernatural motifs used by Turgenev, which are interpreted as expressive means for conveying the psychological processes and hidden experiences of the protagonists. The novelty of the research lies in the interpretation of the novella’s paranormal elements not only in the traditional sense – as reflections of the mystical nature of the events – but also as an artistic projection of the characters’ mental states. This approach makes it possible to reconsider the relationship between the internal and the external, the real and the otherworldly, within the structure of the novella, and to reveal the deep connection between psychological insight and mysticism in Turgenev’s poetics. The analysis leads to the following conclusions: psychology and the supernatural in the chosen work are closely interconnected; the mysterious helps to illuminate the characters’ inner world; supernatural elements enhance the work’s psychological depth and enrich its artistic structure; and the mystical images employed (the snake, the pearls, hypnosis, and others) serve a symbolic function and unify the storyline into a coherent composition.
