THE NATIONAL SPIRIT IN KAZAKH POETRY: SYMBOLISM IN THE WORKS OF TYNYSHTYKBEK ABDIKAKIMULY

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the concept of national spirit and its manifestation in contemporary society through the lens of the works of one of the prominent representatives of modern Kazakh poetry – Tynyshtykbek Abdikakimuly. The poet’s work is viewed as an artistic phenomenon imbued with deep philosophical meaning, aimed at preserving national consciousness and historical memory. In the selected poem, the author vividly depicts the threats to the spiritual essence of the nation, detachment from historical roots, the weakening of the value system, and the fading of traditions and cultural identity. Through poetic language, the poet conveys a profound sense of spiritual crisis, as well as internal conflicts between the individual and society, civilization and nature. The article analyzes the use of symbolic meanings within the poetic space and the semantic load of symbols. Special attention is given to the system of imagery and mythopoetic structures employed to revitalize the national code and convey traditional worldview. The study examines the impact of the poet’s works on the spiritual values of modern society, his role in shaping national consciousness and moral clarity in the reader’s mind, especially among the younger generation. The results reveal that Tynyshtykbek Abdikakimuly’s poetry holds not only aesthetic value but also serves as a spiritual instrument for preserving and reviving national heritage. The national spirit in his poetry acts as an unbreakable bridge between the past and the present, while his poetic voice becomes a guiding force in the spiritual quest and value orientation of today’s society.
